German Exchange to Bremen

Twelve A-level linguists spent part of their Easter holidays in Bremen, staying with German students from the Kippenberg Gymnasium.  Together, they took part in many cultural and social activities including visits to Bremerhafen, Hamburg, the “Universum” Science Museum and a bowling alley!

The German students visited Colchester in March and sampled the delights of Cambridge, Dedham and Colchester Castle.

Amy Partridge, who is currently studying A-level German said “I had a fabulous time in Bremen on the German Exchange. I really clicked with my German Exchange Partner and her family and we had a lot of fun. I am already making plans to return to Bremen in the summer.  I spoke a lot of German and feel that I my understanding of the language got much better in a short time. I would definitely recommend this trip to other students doing German.”

Plans for next year’s exchange are already well under way.
