Well done to everyone who took part in the Colchester Sixth Form College ‘Battle of The Bands’ and ‘Rock Prom’ which recently took place at Colchester Arts Centre.  This is a fantastic opportunity for students to try out their performances in front of a supportive crowd and utilise the expertise of the sound and lights crew at the Arts Centre to make the everything look and sound good.

The full line up for Battle of the Bands was:
7:30        Electric Wednesday
7:50        Torn Together
8:10        Zephyr
8:30        Suddenly Nutmeg
8:50        Crash

Torn Together won the Battle of the Bands and the the prize was a day in a recording studio and the chance to represent the college at the Rock Prom. Unfortunately they were not able to be present at the Rock Prom and we’re thus really grateful that C.R.A.S.H were able to step in and perform instead. This five piece band performed some of their own numbers and a few covers and was particularly well received by the audience.  They were rhythmically tight and well-rehearsed, making an impact on the crowd.
