  • Art/Photography Technician
    8 hours per week – Monday and Tuesday 8.45am – 12.45pm for 38 weeks per year. Temporary post September 2015 – July 2017
    Salary Range: Point 15 - £15,486 Pro rata Salary: £2,858 per annum

    We require a technician to join the Art & Design team to provide technical help for students in a variety of areas as well as maintaining the efficient running of the department. Knowledge of dark room work and Photoshop skills are essential. This post requires an organised person, preferably with some previous experience in a similar environment. The person appointed will have good practical and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team in a large and busy department.

  • Health, Fitness, and Sport Activator
    Full Time temporary fixed term contract for two years – 37 hours per week full year (may include some evening and weekend work)
    Salary £21,850 per annum

    We are looking for a highly motivated and well organised person to develop and increase participation in health, fitness and sport activities by students at the College. A particular emphasis should be given to the encouragement and engagement in activities by our female students. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing the provision which will involve building and sustain effective partnerships with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) the local County Sport Partnership (CPS) and other community support providers. You will need to create and maintain effective and active links with sport clubs in the community and to be an advocate for sports development in the College with the aim to widen student participation.

    This is a new post to College and offers an exciting opportunity to become involved in the College community. The successful applicant would ideally be available to start from the end of August 2015 or earlier if possible by arrangement.

  • Library Assistant
    Part Time 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (plus 2 days) pro rata salary £10,355.70 based on full time salary of £14,501 per annum

    We require an administration assistant to join a small team working in our busy library. We are a highly successful Sixth Form College with over 3,000 16-19 year olds. The library is busy and well used and the successful candidate will be required to communicate with students and undertake a wide variety of library duties (cataloguing, helping with enquiries, book issue, book re-shelving etc.) You will ideally have some experience of library work, be familiar with word and excel and possibly with library management systems. You will also need very good communication skills and the ability and experience of dealing with teenagers and young adults would be an advantage.

    This post is for 30 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time only) with an additional two days to be worked in College closure periods (days to be negotiated with the College Librarian). Ideally the hours of work will be 9.00am to 4.00pm but this is subject to negotiation.

    The successful applicant will be expected to take up post from 1st September 2015.
