Open Evenings
To learn all that is necessary for both a successful start and appropriate choice of programmes of study and course at the Sixth Form College, Colchester, you will need to attend one of our Open Evenings. The information provided here will help to get you started.
Dates and Times
To learn all that is necessary you will need to attend the following 2 events:
Open Evenings Wednesday 21 or Thursday 22 October 2009 - at any time between 6.15 pm and 9.15 pm.
During the course of the evenings there will be brief IB presentations. These will be held in rooms 306/307 on the third floor of the South Site campus building.
And also
Induction Day Wednesday 30 June or Thursday 1 July 2010 for all students.
Please note Enrolment will be held on Tuesday 31 August and Wednesday 1 September 2010.
Please note that, with the exception of blue badge holders, parking is not available on site. Please use the car parks at St Mary's, Middleborough or Southway. See How To Find Us for details of these and other available public car parks. Please also check the closing times of your preferred car park as some of them may close early.
How To Apply
If you have not already done so, you may request a copy of the 2010 edition of our Prospectus or alternatively download an electronic version from the College website. Applications should be completed online. Please note that the closing date for all applications is 31 January 2010.
College Admissions for the 2010/2011 Academic Year
First Priority Applicants are all those who live within the Priority Admission Area of the College irrespective of which school they attend and those who attend College partner or link schools. They are likely to be offered places, following interview, provided that we offer an appropriate course for which the student expects to be qualified.
If you live outside the Priority Admission Area of the College and do not attend one of the first priority schools - please note the College expects to be very oversubscribed in this category. All applications should be submitted by 31 January and most interviews will take place over six evenings - 18 November or 7 December or 6 January or 13 January or 1 February or 25 February. Interview mornings on the 21 December 2009 or 15 Febraury 2010 are particularly for those attending boarding schools or those moving into the area.
